Evaluation on my own technical skills in my preliminary task
I had to create a preliminary task to practice my filming/ technical skills through a short piece of a character entering a door and match-on-action of two characters sitting at a table having a conversation.
When my filmed piece was completed, I had to use an editing software called ‘Adobe Premiere pro’ to edit my filmed piece to make the piece flow and appear very effective and also erase any irrelevant parts.
I had to use many tools, one tool is the ‘razor tool’ I used this tool when I needed to cut off any irrelevant parts in my
filmed piece, for example, any pauses, mistakes or any longer bits that were not important to the piece as a whole.

I also had to render the edited film pieces together so that my edited piece was more effective and linked very well with each scene.
I had to create a preliminary task so that i could practice with my camera work and experiment with using the cameras, which was sort of a 'trial and error' task which enabled me to see what things I could improve on while filming.
As there are three members in my group, we all made an attempt on editing the same raw footage to see who's piece would be best editied. My group decided to use me edited piece as they felt I had the best editing skills in this piece and would be used as our final prliminary piece.
